Le Bernardin in New York City

This is one of New York City’s most prestigious restaurants. Le Bernardin is not only on the World’s Best 50 Restaurants list, but it has also received recognition such as three Michelin stars, more James Beard Awards than any other restaurant in the city, top ratings in The New York Zagat Guide and New York magazine, and a four-star review from the New York Times.

The World’s Best 50 Restaurants list said that Le Bernardi’s tasting menus make this restaurant stand out among the rest:

“Le Bernardin offers several tasting menu options. The classic four-course menu is split into three sections – Almost Raw, Barely Touched and Lightly Cooked – with dishes marrying French and global influences, especially those from Asia. Think tuna tartare with sea urchin toast and a drizzled jus; and poached lobster with chanterelle mushrooms and baby turnips,” according to their review.

Le Bernardin has two private dining spaces and also offers a buyout of the entire venue. Les Salons Bernardin is located on the second floor and can be accessed through a separate entrance. The space features etched glass, wooden coffered ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Soft lighting at night and warm, neutral colors add to the upscale ambiance. The salon hosts between two and 150 seated guests, and the floor plan can accommodate different party sizes and needs.

The second space, Le Bernardin Prevé, has two rooms that can be combined to fit different configurations and numbers of guests. It has a sophisticated feel with a dynamic design and contemporary art.

SingleThread in Healdsburg, Calif.

Located in Northern California’s wine country, SingleThread is not just a venue. It’s a destination. SingleThread is home to a 24-acre farm, a luxurious inn, and an award-winning restaurant. In addition to being named to the Worlds 50 Best Restaurants list, SingleThread has received three Michelin stars, been named to the Forbes Travel Guide, won Wine Spectator Grand Award, and received a four-star review from the San Francisco Chronicle.

SingleThread’s cuisine is based on Japanese cooking, combined with fresh ingredients from the farm. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants describes SingleThread’s 11-course meals:

“Beginning with a first course comprised of myriad small snacks arranged beautifully on a wooden board, the tasting menu at SingleThread then moves through 10 further courses of kaiseki-style dining. The latest iteration, entitled ‘Mid Spring in Sonoma,’ encompasses everything from duck with strawberry and beetroot, spiced carrot accompanied by chervil milk, and black cod with a side of peas and yuba. For dessert, don’t miss the standout combination of rhubarb and chamomile,” said the review.

Their 52-seat restaurant is an elegant setting to enjoy each course, with wood decor details, soft lighting, and comfortable seating. Private dining bookings can be made for small parties in their five rooms, or for full buyouts.
