It is very easy to tell the difference between a party that has carefully planned out as opposed to one that was just thrown together last minute. Depending on the scale of the event, most parties should be planned months before the actual date. Along the party planning journey there are often several hiccups thats occur which take time to fix, so allow yourself enough time to recover from any mistakes and make sure your party is sure to be enjoyed by all.

    2. Pick a theme.

Every event, whether a wedding or a little kid's birthday party should have a theme. The theme can be anything from Disney princesses to a color scheme. The theme or color scheme is base for all of the planning and sets the tone of the entire party. When picking the venue, invitations, decorations, and even the food it is important to keep the theme in mind.

    4. Provide food, drinks, and entertainment.

No matter what type of event you are throwing, you should always provide some sort of food and entertainment for your guests. Whether it is a four course meal and freshly blended cocktails or a bowl of chips and salsa and can of soda, the guests should always have the option of eating and drinking. Entertainment should also always be provided, whether it is a lavish orchestra or a simple playlist.

    5. Be a good host.

While at the party you should greet your guests upon their entrance, introduce them to people they may not know, and offer them refreshments. You should always put the guest first and make sure they are comfortable and having a good time. At the end of the day, it is all about having fun so be sure to enjoy the event so you tediously planned!
