Spring Themed Bridal Shower

Bridal showers are the ultimate precursor to a great wedding and can be equally as important… and fun! From decorations of the event venue down to food, spring themed bridal showers should incorporate pastel hues that represent this bright season. Here are a few ways to make sure spring is sprung throughout every part of your bridal shower:

Food: Tie your menu to the lightness of spring with an array of fresh springtime hors d’oeuvres, snacks and desserts. Select seasonal ingredients to add spring splashes of color as well. Open face finger sandwiches, pastel colored macaroons, or even a veggie display will make a great spread. Delicious seasonal fruits like kiwis, grapefruit, cherries, oranges, blueberries and strawberries are a great treat, give dishes great color and can even serve as garnish for cracker and cheese trays!

Flowers: What better way to host an ode to spring than with beautiful flowers? Stick to bright pinks, yellows, and purples. Potted hyacinths, tulips, daffodils, marigolds, and other springtime flowers will transform any table, buffet, or bar into a flourishing spring display. If you’re looking to save a few dollars, consider purchasing colorful silk flowers from your local craft store. Finally, be sure to get creative with your flowers; design floral garland to hang on walls, garnish a place setting with a single daisy, or make a spring floral crown for the bride-to-be. The possibilities are endless!

Spring Décor: You can create the ultimate blooming bridal shower with the smallest of springtime accents. Place a dried flower inside of each shower invitation before the party, tie a bow using yellow ribbon around cutlery bundles, place two and three flowers into different sized vases and place them on the centers of tables and around the room, use watering cans to hold serving utensils or flowers, and use woven wooden baskets to carry game supplies and party gifts. Every small decorative spring detail is sure to make your event blossom!

Drinks: A fun menu of spring themed cocktails will be the final ingredient to a successful bridal shower. Brighten up water pitchers with lemon and cucumber slices. Create a spring drink menu featuring two or three of the bride’s most colorful favorites. Add some fresh spring fruits to champagne cocktails and sangria, and your springtime guests will be sure to be kept watered at the bar!
