Thanksgiving Decoration Ideas

Thanksgiving is about spending time with family and friends to celebrate everything in life you are grateful for. Are you hosting a Thanksgiving dinner this year? Check out these fabulous Thanksgiving party decoration ideas that you can use to spruce up your event space!

    Warm Things Up

No doubt people will be hanging out in your living room before and after dinner, so you’ll want to make sure that room is festive as well. An easy way to decorate is to simply swap your decorative pillows with dark red and brown velvet pillows. Add a few throws in similar fall shades and you’re set!

    Create a Grand Entrance

It’s the season of entertaining, so a great way to decorate is to fix up your entry way. If you have any hardwood floors, you’ll want to make sure they are shined and scratch-free. Also, add an entry table or bench, whatever works with your event venue, so people can sit to take on and off their shoes and coats. You can also get some cute decorative accessories such as a picture frame display on the wall or anything else that fits your fancy.

    Make Your Dining Chairs Comfortable

Do you have uncomfortable dining room chairs? With Thanksgiving and then Christmas and New Years right around the corner, you’ll want to make sure you make your dining room chairs as comfortable as possible. No need to throw out perfectly good chairs! Just get some comfy cushions and back pillows to cozy them up and your guests will be happy.

    Fall Wreaths

Do you have a hallway with empty walls? What about a boring door? Spruce up any area in your space with a festive fall wreath to make your guests feel the spirit of the season. All you need to purchase are some simple wreath forms and different materials to put around the wreath. Also, get some different types of ribbon to hang the wreaths around your home.

    Natural Fall Flowers

Go on a walk around your home and pick the last remaining flowers and other decorative plants. Fill vases with your pickings and set them throughout the house. As a tip, you could use mason jars or wine bottles as vases as well. Have overnight guests? Don’t forget the guest bathroom and bedroom!

    Dining Table Centerpiece

Your dining table will really come to life if you take the time to make a breathtaking centerpiece for the Thanksgiving meal. Make the centerpiece speak to you and your personality. Get a vase that fits your other decorations. For example, if you have a rustic feel to your home, consider getting a natural vase made from a tree trunk for your centerpiece. Fill with your favorite fall flowers, maybe set some mini squash around the vase along with some candles to really set the mood.
