8 Summer Party Trends To Get Excited For

As we come closer and closer to pre-pandemic normalcy, and most Americans being fully vaccinated, people are ready to gather and party which means that we are headed into the roaring ‘20s of the 21st Century

Here are the eight party and event trends that are on the rise and will be most popular this summer.

8 Summer Party Trends:

Having them

Let’s just start off by all admitting that we are THE most excited about finally being able to meet up with friends and family for celebrations. This past year has taught us all a few life lessons; the most important being that our circle of family and friends is absolutely the single most important thing in our lives.

Celebrating the small things

Now that we are allowed out of our houses and we can all safely gather - I’m all for celebrating everything. You’re quarantine dog just turned 1, fantastic, let’s throw a party! Got a promotion at work? Congratulations, throw a backyard BBQ and rent food trucks and I will be there! No reason is too small to gather and celebrate.

Outdoor parties

Restaurants and venues had to get creative with their outdoor spaces or create an outdoor space entirely from scratch in order to accommodate guests safely. Patios, fire pits, heat lamp, igloos, tents, gazebos, garden seating, sidewalk seating - whatever you added, or expanded, don’t put it away. Offering both indoor and outdoor spaces increases capacity and revenue potential but for diners and event guests, it’s a nice luxury to be able to pick the setting options that work best for your needs and preferences. Offering event guests both indoor and outdoor spaces for them to move freely between the two spaces over the span of the event creates movement, airflow, connecting with others, but also provides a sense of health safety so guests can choose which space they are most comfortable being in.

Small more lavish events

As we ease into the party scene this summer, smaller more intimate events and parties will still be the typical guest list size yet with folks are eager to gather and they will go above and beyond their average party budget opting for not necessarily the more affordable options but the more lavish options since we have all been quite sluggish these past few months and everyone is ready to treat themselves.

Catered dinner parties

Have all of your closest friends come over for a dinner party but instead of making a disaster in the kitchen preparing a gourmet meal - order a catered dinner with all of the fixings so you can focus on quality time catching up with your favorite peeps instead of being stuck in the kitchen.

Wine truck for ladies’ night

The only thing that makes ladies’ night better is having wine to go with it. Having a truck deliver a truckload of wine offering varying types and brands is the icing on the cake. Please all of your guests without having to run to the store and grab 10 different types of wine bottles or even worse, you will never run out of wine when it’s delivered right to your door!

Children’s birthday parties at playgrounds

Planning children’s birthday parties over the last year has been difficult. As a parent, you invite friends and classmates and pray that someone shows up, but you are inevitably left with very sad kids. This summer, you will see more birthday parties taking place in local places like parks and playgrounds with rented trucks for activities and food.  All kinds of fun stuff come in a mobile form such as arcade, video games, laser tag, bubbles, ice cream, tacos, hot dogs, slushies, you name it and it probably comes delivered to you on truck for the day. Outdoor space already set up with activities such as swings and jungle gyms are the perfect spot to have a safe and fun party that parents can’t say “No” to.

Music Festivals

Listening to live music outdoors, what’s not to love? Music festivals both big and small will be popping up everywhere. The outdoors brings safety in fresh air and space between other music lovers. Food, drink, and dessert trucks are the perfect options for proving meals. Festivals during the day also creates a family-friendly atmosphere.
