7 Creative Corporate Centerpiece Ideas You Need to Try

Written by Miranda Paquet | Sep 29, 2022 1:30:00 PM

With so many details going into your corporate event, you may be questioning if centerpieces really need to be on your to-do list.

The fact is that centerpieces are crucial in making your event feel cohesive. Something simple and elegant will help set the mood for your event and add a perfect touch of style. Of course, done badly a centerpiece can also be an event distraction.

Need some help getting it right? Here are 7 corporate centerpiece ideas that will enhance your special night.

1. Floral and plant arrangements

Flowers for centerpieces? Groundbreaking, right?

While it’s no secret that plants always make great centerpieces, you can be creative in the execution to breathe fresh life into this tried and true centerpiece idea.

Consider incorporating your company’s color scheme into your floral arrangements. Use mason jars instead of vases for an approachable display. Or, forgo flowers in favor of succulents or houseplants. Houseplant popularity skyrocketed during the pandemic; consider a small succulent display at each table and gifting the displays at the end of your event.

2. Fake candles

Candles are another popular centerpiece idea for good reason. Candles are not just visually attractive—they can provide a pleasant glow to your event. Candles are especially cozy for events in the colder times of the year.

Get creative by displaying candles floating in the water, hanging from the ceiling, or line staricases. These are easy ways to add warmth to an evening event.

3. Company swag

What is your company all about? Do you promote a certain motto or slogan, or does your company have a specific logo? Use your company branding as your centerpiece inspiration and create a centerpiece display made up of giveaways for your event attendees. Think t-shirt towers, jars of M&Ms that are your company colors, custom stickers with your logo or slogan, or cookies with your company logo on top.

4. Custom LED  Lights

If the idea of open flame makes candles a no-go for you, think through some other custom lighting options. We’ve seen custom-branded lightboxes as another recent trend in the event decor scene. As long as the lightboxes are simple LEDs rather than flashing neon signs, they can be a nice touch—such as the light above from Etsy.

5. Dessert tower

From cupcake towers to doughnut towers to macarons and pastry displays, there are a lot of places you can take this idea. A couple of tiers is probably all you need to keep the table happy and full. Again, simplicity works well here—something more elaborate like a champagne or chocolate tower is too distracting for a table setting.

Of course, if you prefer a more savory option, you could fill your tower with mini sandwiches or hors d'oeuvres instead. Maybe a seafood tower if your event is on the fancier side? Plenty of good options for towers of edible treats.

6. Photo albums, books, etc.

If your corporate event has an impressive speaker, why not create a centerpiece with the speaker’s books? Another option is to print out photos from past events, company milestones, or offsites, so your guests can relive past moments. With most photos shared online, photo albums are now a fun and nostalgia-filled way for your attendees to relive memories.

7. Something seasonal

If you want to go super simple, a small seasonal display is a solid option. Think pumpkins for fall, snowflakes for winter, lemons for spring, shells, and sand for summer. While these ideas are not brand new, they will always feel fresh and timely if you are in sync with the seasons.

Bonus: 3 Quick Corporate Centerpiece Tips

In preparing your centerpieces, here are a few tips that can help you decide exactly how to put them together once you know what you want to do.

  1. Less is more. You don’t need giant decorative pieces on your tables: stay proportional to the size of your table and make sure not to block the view of the people across from your guests!

  2. Get help. Involve your company in making your event centerpieces. Ask for volunteers to take an hour out of their workday to assemble the centerpieces, so they feel personal to your guests.

  3. Don’t stress. Remember, these centerpieces are for a corporate event, not a wedding. You want them to be an attractive addition to your event—but they don’t have to be overly intricate or formal.
