From corporate functions to social gatherings, their special events team provides expert guidance and takes care of all the details. Hawthorn offers two rooms with a total venue capacity of 325 guests and an exclusive outdoor space.
Located at 46 Geary Street, between Kearny & Grant Streets, just two blocks from Moscone Center and two blocks from Union Square in the heart of the Downtown District, Hawthorn blends the best of historic San Francisco with 21st-century amenities. Down one level from the street, this hidden gem is located in a section of the city that was the epicenter during the California Gold Rush.
Fully refurbished, Hawthorn features rich, warm textures, Austrian drapes, deep lavender ceiling swathes, and comfortable lounge seating throughout. In addition to being a retro-chic cocktail lounge for unpretentious but fabulous craft cocktails, Hawthorn offers a world-class VOID Tri-Motion sound system, custom-built in the UK and the first of its kind in North America that'll be sure to impress the most finicky of music and sound aficionados.
The space has ADA and elevator access directly into the space for easy load-in and production needs. Hawthorn does not have its own kitchen facilities, so clients are welcome to choose from one of their preferred caterers who can provide anything from light appetizers and small bites to a full gourmet multi-station event.
Full Venue Buyout:
Combine the Main Room and the Bonaparte Room for a capacity of 325 guests, with the capability to offer two full bars (5 fully stocked wells with an extensive spirits menu) and up to two different sound systems. Your guests can dance in the main room or meet in the Bonaparte room, hold presentations on the raised platform in the main room, or have breakout groups in the Bonaparte. Hawthorn has something for every type of event, from corporate meetings to award ceremonies, birthday parties to conference happy hours, from DJs to live performances.
Main Room Description:
The ‘Main Room’ accommodates up to 250 guests and is accented with Austrian drapes, plush chandeliers & sconces, deep purple ceiling swathes, and comfortable lounge seating. It also features a Void Acoustics® sound system with full DJ capabilities and dancefloor space if desired. The main bar showcases an extensive spirits & sommelier-driven wine collection above a stunning thirty-foot black marble slab bar top.
Bonaparte Room Description:
The ‘Bonaparte Room’ can accommodate private groups of up to 75 guests and offers a more hidden experience that boasts classic décor inspired by 1930’s Hollywood and is fitted with four large banquettes, its own private bar, a separate Void Acoustics® PA system, photo booth, and private elevator entry/exit capabilities.
