We had the pleasure of sitting down with Steven Budin — also known as Stevo and the owner of Stevo79 in Miami — and Suzie Harrington, General Manager, to chat about why they love listing their unique venue space on the EventUp venue directory.

Budin and Harrington opened the doors to Stevo79 in December of 2020 but were never concerned with how they were going to fill their events calendar with bookings.
“I was never concerned about attracting customers when I was building the Stevo79 concept. I went into this event space because of EventUp. I have the secret sauce — the secret sauce is EventUp!” said Budin.
Marketing on EventUp doesn’t have to wait until you open your venue’s doors for the first time or have a plan in place.
“Don’t even hesitate; you should be on EventUp before your event space is ready.” said Harrington.
Working with EventUp does two things, according to Budin. He said it makes the customers feel comfortable and it validates Stevo79 as a business by being on EventUp.
“At the same time, I believe that the EventUp exposure, and for whatever reason, whatever you do back there, you’re able to reach the customers, our target audience,” Budin said.” You’re an established space and have been around forever. People have learned to trust you, and through you they trust us, and when we deliver on events it makes that whole 360-relationship win happen.”
We asked some more specific questions around how exactly EventUp helps make their job easier as well as how EventUp helps with their overall marketing strategy.
- EventUp: How has EventUp improved your job?
- Budin: We don’t really do any other marketing; we have our hands full just with the customers we get from EventUp.
- Harrington: There’s no other search engine as effective as EventUp has been.
- EventUp: What would you say to someone considering EventUp to help them connect with new leads and grow their events business?
- Budin: EventUp is not an option, it’s a must! If you’re going to be in the party business, you need to be on EventUp.
