The Coolest Bathrooms in Nashville, TN

Nashville, Tennessee is known for good music, good food, and a good time, whether you’re rooted there or just passing through. From the lively downtown nightlife scene to the wealth of farm-to-table restaurants and wealth of unique attractions, you’re more or less guaranteed to fall in love with the city after your first visit.

With that in mind, we knew Music City was the perfect location for our latest blog installment about cool bathroom concepts (we’ve previously highlighted Atlanta and Austin). Read on for the spots in Nashville with attention to detail that didn’t stop in the dining room.

The Hermitage Hotel

The Hermitage Hotel

The Hermitage Hotel is an iconic part of Nashville’s history. Nestled in the city’s downtown area, the elegant space has hosted political notables, celebrities, and innumerable travelers during its more than 100 years of operation. Part of the famed hotel features The Oak Bar and The Capital Grille, which share this buzzy ground-floor men’s restroom that was once voted America’s Best Bathroom. The interior sports an Art Deco vibe complete with green and black glass-tiled walls circa the 1930s, a terrazzo floor, a shoe-shine station, and a working telephone that connects to the front desk. Class, all the way.

5th & Taylor

5th & Taylor

Spacious, chic environs and classic American cuisine is the name of the game at Nashville’s 5th & Taylor eatery. Sausage-and-cheddar biscuits share a menu with beer-can chicken, pork shoulder, and steamed mussels with chorizo, plus signature cocktails to wash it all down. But don’t leave without taking a peek at 5th & Taylor’s swanky men’s and women’s bathrooms. Men are treated to a vintage-style palm frond wallpaper, while women enjoy a dark-hued floral pattern, plus funky-shaped modern sinks, bold mirror designs, and stylish sconces to boot.

Sinema

Sinema

In 2014, the historic Melrose Theater was transformed into the Sinema Restaurant + Bar. Sinema takes a contemporary approach to classic American cuisine with an extensive craft libations cocktail program all while seated in old-Hollywood gold and frills. Head over to the bathroom where you can sit in front of a Marquee Makeup Mirror to touch up your lipstick. As you look around you will feel that you have stepped back in time and onto a Hollywood movie set.

Nashville Zoo

The Nashville Zoo, only minutes from downtown Nashville is home to more than 6,000 animals. One completely unique way to experience an exhibit up close is in the bathroom. Yes, you read that correctly. One woman’s restroom near the Andean Bear is home to the six-cotton top tamarins, which are endangered primate species from South America. The Entry Village’s restroom is home to a Boelen’s python. As you step out of your private stall, you look directly into a large exhibit and get a personal view of snakes and monkey’s ...it’s a wild experience.

  1. Mockingbird

Mockingbird

Mockingbird is brought to you by the culinary duo Brian Riggenbach and Mikey Corona. Together they have crafted a classic diner that offers comfort food that has been creatively executed and with a global spin. The main dining room is bright and airy with pops of lovely color. They also have #punchinbag - Yup! Fun cocktails in a bag that are perfect for any Instagram post. The bathroom is a bit darker with more of a romantic air to it. Big florals wallpaper, Spanish style pottery sinks, and matching toilets. Nothing about this bathroom is boring.
