Proprietors Bar & Table
This downtown favorite sits within a 19th-century sea captain’s home filled with old-world charm. It's graphic wallpapered walls and warm wood beams create a super homey feeling for a unique and special dining experience. Just make sure you get reservations or book your event ahead of time.
Proprietors Bar & Table was named for Nantucket’s historic past as a whaling hub and its sailors’ bounty. You’ll find their menu is an incredible showcase of fresh and seasonally-driven ingredients. Enjoy both small and large plates of items such as seared scallops with hot and sour vin, caramelized shiitakes, with endives and turnips, or fried broccoli with peanuts and Sambal, an Indonesian chili sauce. They have wonderful wine pairings, and their bar serves some of the best cocktails in town.
The Restaurant at Miacomet
Next on our list of amazing ACK island restaurants is the Restaurant at Miacomet Golf Course. This beautiful hidden gem is driveable from downtown Nantucket and is the island's only public 18-hole golf course. The restaurant was built recently, and its dining room features high vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. Elegant long draperies frame lots of windows that let in lots of natural daylight and stellar views of the course.
The Restaurant at Miacomet’s menu is for both lunch and dinner, and its offerings are classic and family-friendly. We recommend one of their featured burgers or one of their freshly made salads like their Knocked Down Wedge Salad. Pair your meal with one of their beverages; you’ll feel tee-riffic! We recommend making reservations at this great venue when you are visiting the island. The Restaurant at Miacomet also offers event bookings for special occasions, so be sure to check it out.
